Queensland International Education and Training Partnership Fund

IET Partnership Fund 2020–2021

Applications for the IET Partnership Fund – Provider Transition Round are now closed.

Since commencement in 2016, the IET Partnership Fund has funded 73 programs across Queensland’s IET sector.

This financial year, the IET Partnership Fund will offer a single round of funding valued at $1.5 million. This special round is specifically targeted towards Queensland’s VET and ELICOS providers, and is designed to offset the impacts of COVID-19 on these sectors by providing grants of up to $40,000 to eligible applicants.

VET and ELICOS providers are critical to the future of Queensland’s economy, providing skills training and education that will support future growth and innovation. These two sectors combined make up around 50% of all international student enrolments across our state.

This funding also follows the recent announcement by the Queensland Government of a $150 million loan facility for state-based universities also affected by the downturn in international students.

Transitioning to new business models

Provider Transition Grants will support VET and ELICOS providers to innovate their business models and improve business viability for the long term. Eligible activities will include transition to digital classroom, market diversification, new curriculum and course offerings and alignment to other new industry opportunities.

The grants will enable both regional and metropolitan based providers to protect and create jobs through COVID-19 recovery.

Applications closed

Applications for the IET Partnership Fund – Provider Transition Round opened 9.00am AEST Monday 7 September and closed 5.00pm AEST Monday 28 September 2020.
