The Queensland Trade and Investment Strategy 2017–2022 (the Strategy) is a plan for cooperation between governments, business, educational institutions and local councils to create jobs for Queenslanders.

It aims to use Queensland’s natural and acquired strengths to tap into the immense opportunities being created by expanding international markets.

They included: the Premier to New Zealand in July-August 2013, United Arab Emirates, China, Japan and Singapore in October 2013, the United States of America in March 2014, and the Republic of Korea and participation in the Korea section of the Prime Minister’s Mission to Asia in April 2014.

TIQ implemented a number of key internal changes during 2015-16 to enhance its effectiveness in delivering strong trade and investment outcomes for Queensland. These internal changes helped the organisation achieve a range of important outcomes for Queensland including 13 successful ministerial and official missions and facilitating 245 export deals – up from 233 in 2014-15 – and 26 investment deals.
