Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) and Life Sciences Queensland (LSQ) in partnership with the California Life Sciences Institute (CLSI) are offering 5 Queensland life sciences companies the opportunity to participate in a 12-week accelerator advisory program in San Francisco, USA.


Queensland life science companies with a demonstrated interest in the US market.


CLSI is a member-based industry association established to maintain California’s leadership in life sciences innovation through support of entrepreneurship, education and career development. Their FAST Advisory Program aims to assist life science start-ups and scale ups gain commercial footholds into the US market through a series of one-on-one industry mentoring sessions and targeted events.


The Queensland FAST Program runs mid-October 2019 to January 2020, and culminates in a targeted presence at BIO2020, San Diego in June 2020. Participation in this program requires companies to commit to at least 3 one-week trips to the US and dedicated time for weekly remote meetings with mentors.


San Francisco Bay Area is the world’s most mature and experienced life science cluster and offers deep commercialisation expertise and access to capital. In addition to leading life science innovation in synthetic biology, therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices and industrial biotech, Silicon Valley’s technological knowhow also makes the region a world leader in the convergence of biological and digital health technologies.


TIQ will cover the program cost to the value of USD$14,000 per company. Your company will be expected to cover your flights, accommodation, and some meals during your in-country sessions.
