Interested in exhibiting at FOODEX 2021 Japan?

Boasting the third-largest economy in the world, and Australia’s second-largest two-way trading partner Japan presents exciting opportunities for Queensland businesses. Japan is also a proud advocate of free trade, championing the Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement (JAEPA) in 2015, ratifying the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) in 2018, and in February 2019 the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement came into force.

Furthermore, Japan is hosting a string of major international events including the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics Games and the 2021 World Masters Games. In 2025, Japan will host the Osaka-Kansai Expo. These transformational events will help to drive Japan’s next stage of economic and social evolution and globalization and in turn, presenting significant commercial development opportunities for Queensland food exporters.

Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) Japan Office is looking to assist Queensland’s food and agribusiness exporters to exhibit at FOODEX Japan 2021, Asia’s leading food and beverage show hosting in Tokyo (Makuhari Messe) from 9-12 March 2021.

FOODEX 2019 attracted over 80,000 visitors, 11,000 of which were from overseas, and 3,300 exhibitors from over 80 countries and regions.

The presence of key international buyers will provide Queensland exporters with the opportunity to identify new buyers, and create opportunities to network with a vast range of international visitors.
