The UK Department for International Trade will host its first virtual mission to London Tech Week and is looking for innovative Queensland tech companies to join the free mission. Applications close midnight Monday 13 July.

The UK is a global technology leader, with the world’s third-largest digital technology sector and a record-breaking £10.1B investment into UK tech companies in 2019. If your company is interested in expanding into the UK market, attendance at London Tech Week is a must.

Last year’s Tech Week attracted over 58,000 attendees from 95 countries, hosting 300 events with a social media reach of 300 million people. Queensland companies from the following sectors are encouraged to apply directly to the UK Department for International to participate in the virtual mission:

  • medtech and digital health
  • fintech and regtech
  • future technology (AI, cyber, blockchain, IoT, robotics, big data)
  • agtech

  • other (eg AR/VR, creative tech/media, sportstech, proptech).

TIQ’s London office will also be available to provide follow-up support to any Queensland company participating in the virtual mission.
