Australian Silver Industry Missions

July and November 2018

In 2018, TIQ organised 2 trade missions to China for the Australian Silver Industry Group (ASIG). The missions took place from 8 to 13 July 2018 (Beijing; Shanghai) and from 4 to 10 November 2018 (Beijing, Guangzhou).

The purpose of the missions was to explore potential business opportunities and to position the ASIG to successful win and deliver large and complex projects in China and to showcase Queensland’s world-class expertise in the sector.

As part of the mission, delegates attended the 5th China Silver Industry Exhibition in Guangzhou. This is the most influential senior care industry exhibition in China.

The ASIG is a Queensland-based consortium of 7 companies which specialise in servicing the aged-care industry. The consortium was established as an initiative of the Queensland Trade and Investment Strategy 2017–2022 to address significant opportunities for Australian companies in China’s aged-care sector, from the design, construction and operation of senior-living facilities to technology-enabled health care services.
