Study Queensland ambassador explores Brisbane and Sunshine Coast

Liz Day News

Study Queensland Digital Ambassador Juliana Medina has been touring Queensland throughout 2018 to promote our many regions and educational institutions. November saw her undertake her final two stops, in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast.

Juliana’s tour of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast allowed her to see and better promote each regions’ unique offerings.

In Brisbane, Aviation Australia and TAFE Queensland gave her the opportunity to explore the breadth of practical training opportunities available to international students. This included time in TAFE Queensland’s South Bank training kitchens and restaurant, and hands-on experiences with the state-of-the-art simulation spaces at Aviation Australia. In addition to this, Juliana was able to learn more about the Brisbane Student Hub and Latin American student focused initiative Latin House.

“Brisbane is a place where you can literally get hands on experience with multiple careers and opportunities as you find your way to what you want in life. I love it!”

On the Sunshine Coast, Juliana was able to explore the fashion studios of the TAFE Queensland Mooloolaba campus, the specialist facilities of the University of the Sunshine Coast and undertake a local surf lesson.

“The Sunshine Coast has so many warm people, and such a warm lifestyle.”

Juliana’s visit to the two regions caps off a year long tour of the state which also included Rockhampton, Cairns, Toowoomba, and the Gold Coast.

We thank her for all her energy and enthusiasm towards Queensland and the international education and training sector.
