Australia’s currently serving Ambassador to Spain, Andorra and Equatorial Guinea, Virginia Greville, has been appointed the new CEO of TIQ.
Announcing the appointment, Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment Jackie Trad said Ms Greville would be returning to her home state of Queensland after extensive experience in working both nationally and internationally.
Ms Greville has significant experience in supporting, dealing and negotiating with a range of governments, international markets and industries.
She was involved in Australia’s negotiations of the Free Trade Agreements with the United States and China, has broad and in-depth trade and investment experience at very high levels of complexity and sensitivity.
Mr Jack Noye has been interim CEO since March and will be retiring at the end of December after serving the Queensland Government in a number of senior executive roles over many years.
The TIQ board appointed Ms Greville after an extensive selection process and the recruitment panel comprised of the TIQ Chair, TIQ interim CEO and the CEO of Brisbane Airport Corporation.
