RTI sells products throughout India through an agent, and directly to the Tata group, a large Indian conglomerate of 30 companies.
How they did it
Recognising India as both the fastest growing market and a large user of coal, RTI secured a local distribution agent there to help deliver their equipment and services across the country.
To establish themselves in the Indian market, they worked with TIQ, Austrade and EFIC (now Export Finance Australia).
They also provided technical training to staff in India so they could commission and maintain their equipment locally.
