Winners have been announced for the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards 2024
Premier Steven Miles and Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment Cameron Dick have announced the winners for the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards 2024.
This year, 46 Queensland companies competed as finalists across 13 national categories and two state categories.

Queensland’s 2024 Exporter of the Year powers to high voltage
Leading electrical engineering manufacturer NOJA Power has been named Queensland Exporter of the Year at the 2024 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards.
A diverse range of Queensland businesses contested across 15 categories at the awards dinner with NOJA Power taking the top gong.
From the 46 finalists, 13 national category winners will represent Queensland at the Australian Export Awards at Parliament House in Canberra in November.
Queensland was the first state in Australia to introduce a First Nations category in 2023 and continues to recognise Women in International Business in a dedicated category.
Sobah Beverages, maker of non-alcoholic craft beer, took out the First Nations category while Dr Tracey Seipel, CEO, Seipel Group was awarded the Women in International Business.
Premier Steven Miles and Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment Cameron Dick announced the winners at the ceremony held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Now in their 34th year, the Export Awards recognise Queensland businesses for their innovation, resilience and determination as they strive to grow and expand their global footprint.
The Premier of Queensland, Steven Miles, said exports are the engine room of the state’s economy.
“The Queensland Export Awards – my first as Premier – are an acknowledgement of every single business and exporter’s hard work in putting our state on the world stage,” he said. “A big congratulations to NOJA Power for being named Queensland Exporter of the Year – they truly represent all that is impressive about our exporters and about Queenslanders doing business around the world.”
Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment, Cameron Dick said companies such as NOJA Power kept the state’s economy humming.
“Not only are they innovators and ambitious they are also firmly focused on minimising their environmental footprint and ensuring they are a sustainable company,” he said.
Trade and Investment Queensland CEO Justin McGowan congratulated NOJA Power for their deserved win.
“They have overcome a variety of exporting challenges in their 22 years of business and grown to become the supplier of choice for electricity companies around the world,” he said.
“They are a true Queensland export success story and will be hard to beat for the National Award.”
