Taste of Queensland (ToQ) is a flagship Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) initiative that connects Queensland exporters with international buyers, importers and distributors. An ongoing, multi-faceted program comprising inbound and outbound delegations, trade shows and activations, it showcases Queensland’s world-class food, beverage and agribusiness products, creating valuable opportunities to build partnerships and expand into global markets.
At the heart of the Taste of Queensland program, international buyers are hosted in Queensland to connect with exporters, discover their products and experience the true ‘taste’ of the state.
Taste of Queensland showcases the best of Queensland’s food and agriculture sector, positioning the state as a trusted global supplier of high-quality products. Delivered through TIQ’s global and regional networks, the program engages buyers across key international markets while supporting exporters to grow in new and established markets.

Taste of Queensland at Fine Food Australia 2026, Melbourne
TIQ is bringing Taste of Queensland to Fine Food Australia 2026, with a dedicated presence on the trade floor and a program of targeted events designed to connect Queensland exporters with international buyers.
Fine Food Australia will be held in Melbourne from 31 August to 3 September and will provide a high-impact platform for exporters to showcase their products, build brand awareness and engage directly with international buyers, importers and distributors.
Buyers will experience Queensland’s premium products firsthand, meet the people behind their exceptional quality, and learn more about their origins.
International buyer engagement will be facilitated through Austrade’s Business Matching Program and complemented by targeted activations and networking opportunities throughout the week.
For Queensland businesses
Queensland agrifood businesses attending Fine Food Australia are encouraged to connect with us and be part of the Taste of Queensland program.

About Fine Food Australia
Fine Food Australia is the largest food industry trade show in the southern hemisphere, attracting over 26,000 trade visitors from more than 50 countries each year.
In 2026, the event will be held from 31 August to 3 September at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), Victoria, Australia.
The event showcases the latest innovations across the food and beverage sector, providing a platform for industry professionals, suppliers and buyers to build commercial partnerships.

Past Taste of Queensland programs - 2024
Taste of Queensland 2024 championed the best of Queensland to 111 international and 50 domestic senior buyers from 19 markets around the world. They connected with over 160 local businesses which featured in the six-day program.
During the inbound program, buyers met Queensland exporters, built relationships, participated in business matching meetings and sampled delicious products.
Buyers also visited exporters’ site operations, enjoying exclusive behind-the-scenes tours and gaining insights into their production methods and techniques while experiencing the incredible diversity of regions across our state.

As the largest domestic food and beverage export showcase TIQ has ever delivered, the program featured:
- a product showcase and tradeshow in Brisbane
- seafood in Cairns and the Sunshine Coast
- craft distilleries in Cairns
- fresh produce in Bundaberg

2024

2023
In August 2023, Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) hosted a five-day intensive inbound beef buying mission involving 22 international beef buyers from China, Hong Kong, Japan and Vietnam. This mission created connections and meaningful engagement between these buyers and Queensland beef producers, and included a series of presentations, site visits, and events across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gympie, Darling Downs and Toowoomba.
TIQ hosted a Taste of Tropical Queensland Showcase in Cairns in May 2023. The event attracted 500 attendees, including 80 buyers, 32 exporters, government officials and industry leaders. To date, the event has generated $978,000 in export outcomes.
2022
In November 2022, TIQ hosted a Taste of Queensland Showcase across various locations including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Toowoomba. This four-day event attracted over 70 international buyers, resulting in a significant $10.4 million in export outcomes.
2019
Back in October 2019, the inaugural Taste of Queensland Showcase brought together more than 30 international buyers. This event generated 13 export outcomes worth $6.48 million for Queensland's food and beverage businesses.
