The very best of Queensland’s food, beverage, agriculture and wellness sectors will be on show with the five-day Taste of Queensland program to commence with a full day product showcase at the historic Brisbane showgrounds.
International buyers from 19 regions around the world will engage with Queensland businesses to explore export opportunities and relationships for their home markets.
More than 160 Queensland brands will exhibit their products across showcase events and site visits in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Bundaberg and the Darling Downs.
The program is set to travel the length and breadth of the state following the Brisbane event, with buyers visiting destinations across Queensland in conjunction with their sector of interest.
Cairns will showcase its outstanding seafood and craft distillery industries, Bundaberg and the broader Burnett region will highlight fresh produce, the Darling Downs will celebrate beef, while the Gold Coast tour will focus on packaged food and beverages and wellness brands.
International buyers will not only gain a comprehensive insight into the processing and facilities that have forged a global reputation for quality, they will also sample Queensland’s best produce across events at iconic locations including Nu Nu at Palm Cove and Reflections at Lake Cooby.
First delivered in 2018, the Taste of Queensland program has continued to grow, driving increased export success for local businesses by introducing new markets, strengthening relationships and creating greater revenue streams and employment opportunities.
The forecasted value of the Queensland supply chain in 2023-24 was $33.88 billion.
Assistant Minister for Treasury, Trade and Investment Jennifer Howard said Queensland was renowned for its high-quality produce.
“I am delighted to see the very best our state has to offer across the food, beverage, agriculture and wellness sectors showcased to this impressive delegation of international buyers,” she said.
