Rhett Miller 雷米乐先生

Queensland Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner – Greater China

Market coverage: Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, and Macau SAR

Rhett Miller is Queensland’s Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner to China. 

In this capacity, Rhett is responsible for leading Trade and Investment Queensland’s team in Mainland China and the Hong Kong SAR which is charged with helping Queensland exporters take their products to market, promoting Queensland as a study destination, and attracting investment into Queensland.

Rhett has extensive experience in international market development having previously served as Trade and Investment Commissioner and Deputy Consul-General (Commercial) at the Australian Consulate-General in Chengdu and Trade Commissioner (Education) (North Asia) at the Australian Consulate-General in Shanghai.  He has also served as Head of Asian Markets at the University of Sydney where he managed large teams responsible for development of international education markets.  He has also held business development roles at both the University of Melbourne and Victoria University.  

Prior to his career in the government and university sectors, Rhett was a solicitor at the leading Australian law firm Allens, and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria.  

Rhett holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Modern Languages (Chinese) from the University of Melbourne.
