Howard Hurwitz, Export Connect

Howard is a highly experienced, commercially driven FMCG sales, marketing and business development expert with an outstanding record of achievement across both the Australian supermarket industry as well as export market development, specialising in the Asian, Pacific, and Middle East regions.

Prior to joining Export Connect, Howard has decades worth of experience in the FMCG space, covering sales, marketing and business development roles at Freedom Foods, Head of Export ANZ at Cerebos Foods and more recently, as the National Account Manager - Retail and Export at Birch & Waite Foods.

Since joining Export Connect more than three years ago, Howard has delivered a wide range of Export Capability Programs for key stakeholders, including DPIRD, Global Victoria and Investment NSW, as well as Market Readiness Programs for BEDA, FAN and AOL. He has also conducted over 100 individual mentoring sessions. Howard is a highly hands-on professional with experience spanning operations, logistics and finance, drawing on practical, real-world expertise gained from managing exports across multiple international markets.
