Showcase your products at the world's largest import expo
Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Queensland food and beverage, agriculture, and complementary medicine companies to participate in the Taste of Queensland Business Mission to the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) from 2-10 November 2025.
Expressions of interest close 5:00 PM AEST, Friday 8 August 2025.
Companies with no China export experience must complete our export readiness training in order to attend.
Companies will be selected based on their market readiness to secure commercial outcomes.
Why attend CIIE 2025
CIIE is China’s largest import-themed trade show, welcoming over 3,000 companies from more than 150 countries.
In 2024, Queensland exporters participating in CIIE generated A$64 million in commercial outcomes.
CIIE provides the opportunity to:
- engage directly with major importers, distributors, agents and retailers
- promote your brand through on-site tastings and livestreamed promotions
- gain insights into local consumer preferences and market trends
- collect product feedback and adapt your export strategy
- establish a presence in both East and West China through optional pre-show activities.

Who can apply
EOIs are open to Queensland companies that specialise in:
- packaged food and beverages
- meat, seafood and fruit
- healthy foods and wellness products
- complementary medicine.
Companies with existing GACC registration (China Customs certification) will be prioritised.
Key dates
- 2–4 November 2025 – business matching program in Chengdu and Chongqing (optional).
- 5–10 November 2025 – exhibit at CIIE in Shanghai.
- Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 22 August 2025.
Closing date
Expressions of interest close 5:00 PM AEST, Friday 8 August 2025.
Selection process
Companies will be selected based on their:
- market readiness to secure commercial outcomes
- alignment with market demand and mission objectives
- commitment to fully engage in program activities.

What's included
Participating businesses will receive:
- a branded display counter and your company logo featured in the Taste of Queensland booth
- CIIE 2025 exhibitor fees fully funded by TIQ
- access to booth space for pre-booked promotional activities (e.g. new product launches, media events)
- access to a livestreaming room for online sales and promotions
- optional TIQ support to display products and gather trade leads
- invitations to exclusive official networking functions
- on-the-ground support from TIQ officers throughout the mission.
What's not included
Participating businesses are responsible for the following costs:
- international and domestic airfares, accommodation, meals, travel insurance, and incidentals
- visas
- ground transport outside the official TIQ program
- freight and logistics, including shipment and storage of product samples
- custom booth modifications (e.g. fridges, freezers, extra signage).
