The story of Bluey reflects life in Queensland which resonates with families all over the world, removing borders and language barriers, which is why it’s been embraced internationally.
Bluey, inspired by the warm setting of tropical Queensland, follows a Blue Heeler pup who lives with her dad and mum, along with her four-year-old sister.
Emmy Award-winning creative house Ludo Studios produced the series in South Brisbane, employing graduate students from QUT and Griffith University.
Bluey’s world of play has been a great inspiration, so it's no surprise that Bluey and Bingo were a giant hit in April inviting visitors to the Australia Pavilion to join the Keepy Uppy Global Challenge.
Expos are renowned for many firsts; and we can now say that the Australia Pavilion at World Expo 2025 Osaka was the first Expo where Keepy Uppy was played.

The multi-award-winning animated series about the loveable canine family has taken the world by storm and now screens in over 140 countries.
Bluey is a great ambassador for Queensland and Australia with the series showcasing some of our state’s most iconic locations.
Trade and Investment Queensland, Tourism Events Queensland and the BBC Studios saw an opportunity to collaborate in order to bring Bluey and Bingo from sunny Queensland to the world stage at Expo 2025.

A feature film for our furry friends
Bluey is just one example of how Queensland is buzzing with creative talent, especially in our screen and digital gaming sectors.
Supported by the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland’s Post, Digital and Visual Effects (PDV) incentive, a full-length feature film of Bluey is set to be created in Queensland for release in 2027.
This Bluey production is the biggest animated feature film ever made in Queensland and will turn our state into a new hub for animation expertise.
