Queensland businesses are ready to seize global opportunities following the resounding success of the inaugural Queensland Exporter Conference.

With almost 600 attendees, the event at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre brought together industry leaders, sector experts and seasoned exporters to deliver practical insights and foster collaboration.

The Exporter Conference focused on equipping businesses with the knowledge, strategies and connections needed to grow their global presence.

Presenters, including NEXTDC CEO Craig Scroggie, and the Airport Economist, Tim Harcourt, shared their invaluable expertise on identifying international market opportunities and navigating global challenges.

Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates delivered the keynote address and announced the new Queensland Exporter Academy, offering free training, mentoring and resources to help businesses of all sizes strengthen their export capabilities and explore new markets.

A strong theme throughout the Exporter Conference was the importance of collaboration in achieving export success.

From partnerships across industries to coordinated efforts between businesses and government, the event highlighted the value of working together to unlock Queensland’s global potential.

In addition to sector-focused sessions on defence, technology, food and agriculture and international education and training, attendees could participate in one-on-one meetings with Queensland’s Trade and Investment Commissioners, and TIQ’s trade advisors.

These personalised sessions provided tailored advice to help businesses take their next steps with confidence while establishing critical connections for international growth.

For businesses ready to turn their export ambitions into reality, registrations for the Queensland Exporter Academy are now open.
