Taiwan’s Food Taipei Mega Shows is considered one of the most influential food expos in Asia. This year, Trade and Investment Queensland is supporting 22 Queensland exporters to be showcased at this year’s TIQ Queensland Pavillion, Food Taipei (24-27 June).
A TIQ-supported delegation of Queensland producers and exporters will travel to the event in Taiwan in June. Others will be supported by in-market representatives and through the Queensland pavilion. The Queensland showcase includes:
- JBS Australia (beef)
- Australian Country Choice (beef)
- Naturally Australian Meat (kangaroo meat)
- TeysCargill (beef)
- Kanga Kitchens (kangaroo jerky for pets)
- Accompli (Manuka honey for humans and pets)
- Freedom Fresh (macadamias)
- Australian Choice Exports (beans and sorghum)
- Bellissimo Coffee (coffee)
- Nature's Gold (Manuka honey)
- Stanbroke (beef)
The 2025 event attracted a record-breaking 1,650 exhibitors across 4,500 booths, and organisers are expecting this year’s event will exceed those numbers.
Under the theme “Smart Eating, Green Living,” Food Taipei Mega Shows 2026 will focus on the future of the global food industry.
Exhibitors will showcase food and related tech innovations that are expected to drive the global food industry supply chain. It is an opportunity for Queensland producers and exporters to connect with Asia’s ideas, products and trade and investment opportunities.
In 2025, Taiwan was Queensland’s 10th largest goods trading partner, valued at around $4.8 billion.
Queensland Trade and Investment Commissioner – Taiwan, Juna Ferrett, said: “Taiwan imports 70% of its food from all over the world, and Australia is one of Taiwan's major beef suppliers.
“Queensland, as Australia's largest beef-producing state, plays an important role in Australia's beef exports to Taiwan.”

“Taiwan presents a compelling opportunity driven by its reliance on imports and focus on food security, coupled with strong consumer spending power. The economy is showing exceptional momentum, with record GDP growth of 13.69% in Q1 2026 and GDP per capita now surpassing regional peers such as Japan and South Korea.
“As Taiwan continues to experience robust growth and rising investment, this creates significant opportunities for Queensland, particularly in sectors aligned with its strengths, including agriculture, food production, and export-driven industries.”
TIQ provides in-market assistance for Queensland exporters seeking to connect with buyers in Taiwan.
Ms Ferrett said: “We sit alongside Queensland exporters and connect them with the right buyers on the ground in Taiwan, including importers, distributors, retailers and food service. Then we bring them into market, or help to expand their presence. That’s where TIQ adds real commercial value.”
