Vorteil.io – making magic with the Alchemist

$91,000 in equity funding and mentoring from a former Cisco C-suiter – the kind of perks any start-up would welcome.

Vorteil.io

These are just 2 of the great rewards for Queensland company Vorteil.io after Trade and Investment Queensland helped fast-track their entry into the 2020 round of Silicon Valley’s Alchemist Accelerator program.

The Gold Coast start-up has a big vision: ‘a revolution of security, speed and performance in Enterprise IT’ – using isolation technology to make apps more secure, more efficient and less costly to run.

Personal introductions from our San Francisco team saw Vorteil.io become the only Australian company granted entry to the Alchemist Accelerator in 2020.

Backed by top corporate and venture capital funds in Silicon Valley, the accelerator helps start-ups turn ideas into gold through seed investment, mentorship and a path to fundraising.

Vorteil.io CEO Wilhelm Wonigkeit said Trade and Investment Queensland had opened an important door for the company in North America.

‘It really is a privilege to participate in the Alchemist Accelerator, especially when you take a look at the program’s prestigious alumni,’ he said.

‘This program took them from start-ups right through to delivering enterprise-class companies, raising funds and carrying on very successfully. We’re hoping to achieve that same result.’
