TIQ coordinates the state awards program in Queensland and is responsible for:  

• attracting applicants
• marketing, media, communication, and sponsorship
• recruiting and managing judges 
• managing the judging process 
• organising events related to the awards program, including the Awards Dinner 
• progressing state winners to the national awards program.

There are 15 award categories – 14 national and one Queensland state-based – that businesses and individuals can apply for.   

Winners of the 14 national categories progress as finalists to the Australian Export Awards, which are run and managed by Austrade.

These awards celebrate 64 years of running in 2026. They recognise and honour Australian exporters that have achieved sustainable growth through innovation and commitment.  

Many of Australia's leading corporations, export facilitators, and industry groups support the Australian Export Awards program, which is a key priority for the Australian Government.
