With more than 25 years’ experience working across regional business, industry and peak bodies in Qld, NT and WA, Alana brings a strong understanding of regional economies and the people, relationships and opportunities that drive their growth. 

Throughout her career, Alana has worked in a wide variety of businesses and industry to identify opportunities, build capability and overcome the challenges that can limit growth in regional markets. Her experience spans economic and business development, international engagement, workforce strategy, skilled migration and industry advocacy.

Alana’s international experience includes working alongside Austrade and other government and industry stakeholders, supporting businesses to build international connections and explore opportunities beyond their domestic markets. More recently, she developed relationships with international recruitment organisations and worked with Australian employers across construction, manufacturing, automotive, health, hospitality, resources, renewable energy and other industries to develop global workforce solutions.

A passionate advocate for regional Queensland, Alana understands the importance of strong local businesses for the future of the North. She is a natural connector who enjoys bringing the right people and organisations together to turn opportunities into outcomes.
